Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information Pixaru (pixaru.app) does and does not collect when you use the site. The short version: the files you process never leave your device, and we keep the data we collect to an absolute minimum.

Your files are never uploaded

Every tool on Pixaru runs client-side, meaning entirely inside your web browser. The images, documents, archives and other files you select are read and processed locally on your own device. They are never uploaded to, stored on, or transmitted to any server we operate. We have no ability to see, keep or share your files, because they never reach us in the first place. This applies to every tool, including image converters, PDF tools, the QR generator and all calculators.

Information we do not collect

We do not ask you to create an account, and we do not collect names, email addresses or any personal profile. The text and numbers you type into a tool (for example into a calculator or a password generator) are processed in your browser and are not sent to us.

Analytics

We use simple, privacy-respecting analytics to understand which tools are popular and how many people visit. This is limited to an aggregate count of page views per page. It does not use cookies for this purpose, does not record your IP address, and does not build a profile of you or identify you personally. We cannot tell who visited a page — only how many times it was viewed in total.

Advertising

Pixaru is free and supported by advertising. We work with third-party advertising vendors, including Google, to display ads.

• Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.
• Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to Pixaru and/or other sites on the internet.
• You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of a third-party vendor’s use of cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info.

These advertising cookies are completely separate from the files you process. Your files remain on your device regardless of any ad activity.

Cookies

The site itself uses few or no first-party cookies for its core functionality. Your theme preference (light, dark or system) is stored locally in your browser using local storage, not a tracking cookie. Advertising partners, as described above, may set their own cookies. Most browsers let you view, block and delete cookies through their settings.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the EU’s GDPR or California’s CCPA), you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal data held about you. Because Pixaru does not collect personal data or build user profiles, we hold no personal file to act on. For advertising-related data held by our partners, use the opt-out links in the Advertising section above.

Children

Pixaru is a general-audience utility site and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the site evolves or as legal requirements change. When we do, we’ll revise the “last updated” date at the top of this page.
